Last weekend, Logan and I had the pleasure to photograph Jean & Will’s wedding. They got married in Atlanta at the Cator-Wolford Gardens in Decatur – such a cute place 🙂
The girls got ready at the King-Keith House a few miles from the gardens. Jean and Will wrote their own vows (which is so charming) and I happened to be around as Jean finished copying her notes onto a single sheet of paper.
Jean’s dress was just perfect for her. As the bridesmaids got a little closer to ready, I took Jean’s dress outside.
As I was finishing up with the dress and shoes, Jean was getting started with make-up. I’ve probably said this before, but I LOVE false eyelashes! I think that false eyelashes bring a well-done face to the next level. If they were easier to put on, I would probably wear them myself!!
As the girls got ready, the guys quickly dressed and headed to a local bar/restaurant for a quick drink.
Jean and Will opted for a First Look. And I’m just delighted with Will’s expression! The photo on the left is Jean nervously (and very happily) waiting for Will to walk around the corner. And the photo on the right a happy Will right before Jean turns around.
After our First Look, we found some amazing light right around the corner…
Really, Jean, you look like you stepped off the cover of a Brides magazine 🙂 The veil she’s wearing belonged to Will’s great-great-grandmother and Jean is the 6th person to wear it in the last 100 or so years. It was incredible – hand made lace and all!
On to location #2 – and with a new veil, too!
Rockstars, I say!
A few good friends…
and it’s time to get married!
Jean and Will, I hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did! And I’m totally jealous of your two and a half week honeymoon in Tailand!
