Five on Friday, Personal

February 27, 2014

Five on Friday!!

Woo-hoo! I think I can make Five on Friday’s happen again!! I’m so excited :)1. My friend and client, Jenna, has started a blog that I think is so, so cool. She is testing hair and beauty products that are chemical-free and reviewing them on her new blog! I really feel strongly about using chemical-free products in my every day life, but I have not made the effort to buy and test chemical-free makeup and body/hair care products, so I’m so glad Jenna is doing it for me!! She loves hair and makeup as much as I do, so I know whatever she says works, will work and be worth the money! So, go check her out and leave her some love 🙂  www.yoursjenna.com

2. Anyone in the market for a really nice iMac?  The iMac that I had prior to the giant one that I’m currently using is sitting on a desk at home, not being used and taking up space and creating a spot for clutter to accumulate (which I hate), so I decided to sell it and use the money for an iPad Mini that I’ve been wishing for, for quite some time!  So, it’s for sale if anyone might be interested!  The specs:

  • 21.5″ iMac
  • 3.06 GHz Core 2 Duo
  • 1 TB Hard Drive
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 8x DVD player/burner.

There is nothing wrong with this computer!  I just had the harddrive replaced, due to a recall, so it’s quite new.  I even have the box it came in (in a really used condition!).  I’d like to get $800 for it, so hit me up via email or phone if you’re interested!  sara[at]evermorephoto.co or 706-850-8830.

3. I’ve been in business for a long time, but I’ve not always been good (or even mediocre) at business for almost as long as I’ve been in business.  For the last two years, though, I’ve really put a LOT of effort into learning, applying, making time for and really understanding the business side of photography (and small business in general).  And I have to say, it’s been eye-opening and so encouraging to see results of all the hard work I’ve put into the business side!  By no means, have I become good at it, but I’ve come a really long way!  Early this year, I made the decision to purchase this Daily Planner made specifically for photographers and I’ve really, really enjoyed using it.  Using a pen and paper has really made my level of organization go up a notch and I’ve found myself accomplishing so much.

4. Do you follow me on Instagram?  If not, you’re missing out on some super cute photos of my munchkins 😉 As a recap, here are my favorite Instagram/phone moments from February…  To follow me on Instagram, search for saralwise.

5. The week is snowed us in, was the week of Valentine’s Day.  Chase Street Elementary had planned a Parent’s Breakfast and a little singing presentation by the kindergarten classes, so when we were snowed in on Valentine’s, Henry was so bummed that we wouldn’t get to see him sing.  Well, the school decided to reschedule the breakfast and the presentation to the following Friday and we all got to go see Henry sing!  It was adorable and you can see for yourself, as I’ve got a cute little clip from one of his favorite songs…

Have a great weekend!
