Hiya!
It’s late, and I have a huge pile of work and no clear idea of what needs to be accomplished first, so I thought I’d use my small bit of time to give you guys a bit of an update.
Really, it’s been 7 weeks since I’ve posted anything. What?!?! How is that possible?! My days pass so quickly that I’m not even sure I can remember what it is exactly that I’ve done with the last 7 weeks.
I do know that I’ve spent a LOT of time on my house. Organizing, sorting, giving, tossing and sharing things really shouldn’t take as much time as it took me. But I was organizing, sorting, giving, tossing and sharing things that Jeremy and I have acquired over an 8 year period. It took us 8 years to collect the stuff and only 3 months to pair it down to the basics. I have to admit that all that time I spent on the house has made me feel SO MUCH BETTER. I don’t have to deal with never ending piles of crap and I’m only putting away things that are used and keeping up with the basics; laundry, dishes and toys.
Want to see what the house looks like now? It’s for sale and right after we listed it we had an open house, which was our major goal; get the house ‘ready’ for the open house. We painted, we hired a painter, we fixed, we cleaned, we had two garage sales, we mulched and planted, we cleaned, we organized, we decorated. I had a great big list that we slowly marked things off of. Here’s the result of our hardwork:
Well, what do you think? Looks nice, huh? Now if you or someone you know wants to move to Hartwell, please send them my way!
Since I last posted something, we celebrated mine/Micah’s birthday, my Dad’s birthday, Logan & Erin’s birthdays, mine and Jeremy’s 8th anniversary and Lucy’s 1st birthday! A few of those events will (or rather I should say, should) get there own posts, but since we are now about to offically enter the holiday season, I can’t promise anything!
The release of the newest iPhone has been the talk of the family (as in my mom and siblings). And even though I resisted ordering a phone the moment they were available, I caved and ordered one a week ago. I’m still patiently waiting for it to be delivered 🙂 Logan, Erin and Caroline have all ordered and recieved one, and they haven’t stopped telling me how cool Siri is. I can’t wait to test out the camera! I’m still impressed with how awesome the phone is on the 4, so I’m looking forward to being impressed. I ordered a cool case, too. Want to see it? Click here. I’ll have to let you know how the quality is…
Speaking of iPhone photos, here’s some of my favorites from the last 7 weeks…
For some reason, they are all out of order ;-( But I don’t really want to fix them. Yesterday, James, Jeremy, Henry, Lucy and I went to Tallulah Falls and walked down the 600+steps to the gorge floor. And then we walked back up 600+ steps to the top. I had a blast! The weather was perfect and it was gorgeous! You’ll notice that I got a new haircut – I like it! It’s been a long, long time since my hair has been longer than my ears, so that’s fun. Lucy went to Mexican in honor of her birthday, got to wear the hat and get whipped cream on her nose. Henry loves to play with shaving cream in the bathtub.
SWP joined the Athens Wedding Professionals! I AM SO EXCITED! I’ve attended several meetings and have big plans for the exclusive AWP bridal show in January. Want to see my listing? Click here.
I have an early shoot with NEGA Living magazine in the morning and a lunch date with my cousin, Kimberly Potterf, who is a professional photographer in Ohio. She’s coming down to shoot a wedding in Dahlonega on Friday (which I get to help her shoot!). We haven’t seen each other in about 15 years, so it’s going to be a good time! But it’s an early shoot, and lunch in Atlanta, so it’s off to bed for me!
