I consider it a privilege to photograph anyone’s wedding, but the fact that Lauren called me and asked us to be part of her day is a true honor. Lauren has been in at least 5 or 6 weddings I’ve shot over the last decade and she could have hired anyone! Thank you, Lauren + Zack for letting us document your day!
While June 13 was their original wedding date, their wedding looked very little like it was planned, thanks to Covid-19. They were supposed to get married at a church in Athens, with a big reception at the Georgian Hall, but after much debate they chose to cut their number of guests and get married outside in Lauren’s hometown of Hartwell, GA.
While I’m sure Lauren + Zack would have loved to have celebrated with 200+ of their family and friends, the day they got instead was wonderful. It was the most pleasant June day I’ve ever worked; the sun was shining and the humidity was low. We spent time by the lake that was full of water and beautiful. The ceremony was perfect and the setting sun (for more photos!) took my breath away.
Who else follows Melanie Casey jewelry and drools over every last piece they post? I do! And if you don’t, you totally should. Her work is amazing! When I saw Lauren’s sister opened the box with her wedding band and noticed the Melanie Casey branding, I squealed. No, seriously, I really did.
Y’all, sweet Sully visited us long enough to model for a photo and give Lauren a few kisses 🥰
Lauren’s parents surprised her with her favorite band, Rumors!
Many, many thanks to all the wonderful people and vendors that made this wedding happen!
