goodness, time flies.

I know I carry on about how quick time flies by, but really, it’s been almost two weeks since I’ve posted ANYTHING!  So many things have happened, I’m not really sure where to start.

First, my garden.  Everything I wanted to plant, except for potatoes, have been planted.  And most everything has sprouted!  I decided that if I wanted to get seeds in the ground, I was going to have to plant while Henry slept.  So for a couple of days I got up super early and worked outside, planting.  I had a lot fun.

Half of the garden.

One row of bean seeds.

Pea seeds and my feet 🙂

Red Bell Pepper plants.

We celebrated Henry’s 2nd birthday last Saturday.  Funnily enough, all of my friends had good reasons for not being able to attend (I missed you guys!) and the party consisted mainly of family and a few of the kids from the youth group.  Henry totally enjoyed the day; people, food, gifts and cake!  [I plan to dedicate a whole post to Henry’s birthday, with photos and video, but in the meantime, heres a couple a cute pics]

Henry practiced blowing out candles with Caroline on her birthday cake.  He couldn’t wait to blow out his candles!  I think that was the best part of the day for him 🙂  In fact, we lit the candles two or three times so he could blow them out, again and again!

This week I spent a lot of time in the car!  I went back and forth to Athens a couple times, had a few shoots and otherwise, just tried to keep up with the house and food.  Taking care of a house that gets as much action as ours is a lot work 😉 — almost a full-time job!  And I also cook almost all of our meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner.  All of that cooking is time-consuming (even though I’m quick) and it produces a LOT of dishes…

Thursday evening we all went outside to play and water the flowers/garden.  Henry, after getting into the small pool, fully clothed, and splashing around for a bit, was ready to see what ‘Da’ was doing.   I stripped him, put a dry diaper on and we went out front to see what ‘Da’ was up to.  The cuteness was too much for me to ignore, so I went in for my camera.  ‘Da’ was watering flowers.  Henry noticed the strawberries… See for yourself:

Strawberry pickin’ under the tree in the front yard — wild strawberries 🙂

Such concentration 😉

Sorry about the million pics.  I just figured if I didn’t post them now, they would never see the light of day.  And I thought they were too cute to be buried…

Yesterday, I photographed Kayla and Justin’s wedding.  Such a pretty venue and even though it rained for a bit during the reception, it was a beautiful event!  I look forward to posting all of our favorite images 🙂

And today?  Well, today I’m pretending that I’m not super tired.  Right this very minute I should be napping, but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it (as usual).  I’ll just go to bed early tonight; doesn’t that sound like a good plan?

This week we released all of the Hot Shot galleries online.  And since we’re using the BRAND NEW Proof Pro, I’m happy to say that we’ve had little complaints 🙂  Proof Pro has been really great – both customer service and the service its self!!
