Engagements

May 8, 2014

Kara & Eddie {engaged!}

Engagement sessions are one of my very favorite things to photograph — I love when two people are comfortable with each other and are excited to create fun, comfortable, easy photos of themselves.  I think most couples expect to have engagement photos taken, and we call it an “Engagement Session” because its a way to celebrate their engagement.  BUT, to me, I like to refer to the session as a Get-To-Know-You session.  We spend a lot of time together on a wedding day and I think the wedding day goes so much smoother if we have a small working relationship before the big day!  And an engagement session is the perfect way to learn a little bit about each other.
Kara and Eddie live in Atlanta and it was important to them that we shot their engagement session images at a few well-known places.  We started out at Grant Park, where I’d never been before.  It was lovely and quiet and just perfect for the first half of our session.

After a quick drive through Atlanta to The Goat Farm, we changed clothes and started shooting again!  From the back corner of The Goat Farm, you can see the Atlanta skyline – isn’t it pretty?
