Oh my goodness. What can I say about the big show? I sum it up in a sentence, it was fabulous!
Ellyn Trinrud, who owns the buildings in Colbert (the Historic Buildings of 4th and Fourth) helped me design and put together the structure used for my booth. I wouldn’t have been able to do anything like it without her help!
Jeremy and I put the booth together on Saturday, which was great fun. I’m not the nervous sort, but people, I woke up in the middle of night sweating profusely wondering if I was sick. I laid still a minute and thought hard about exactly what I was feeling and recognized it as nerves. I was off and on nervous the rest of the morning. So nervous in fact that I didn’t really eat! And if you know me, you know I don’t do much without eating!!
Bright and early Sunday morning, I dropped Lucy off with Papa and Nana and headed to Athens. Picked up Mom along the way, then spent the rest of the day chatting with happy people!
Last year, when the babies were tiny (Lucy & Micah) Mom, Logan and I visited the show to see what it was like and to say hi to the few people we knew. To think that in the space of a year, I was able to join AWP and participate in the bridal show. I’ve enjoyed my time and place with AWP and I can’t wait to think up a booth design for next year’s show! I didn’t spend a whole lot of time photographing the day, but I did make sure to snap a few:
This is our sponsor table. It’s a high-boy that we could use for further promoting our business. Setting it up with whatever the heck we wanted to. We used one of Logan’s lovely settings of china and crystal with some cards and postcards.
This is the booth, both from the side and the front. Some prints were mounted and hung without a frame and some where framed with some antique, well-worn frames.
And here’s us. I asked Melissa Pepin to snap a quick photo of us and I’m so glad I did 🙂 Thanks, Melissa!
